There's a lot of exciting things going on with "information" about the new printer, so we wanted to make sure you had all the facts that we have on the GT-782.

The Brother GT-782 will require about 1.5 days for installation setup and training. It is highly recommended that Adobe products such as Illustrator and Photoshop be used for optimal software. Below you will find a detailed list of information related to the the new garment printer.

Ink Cartridges & Information

The ink cartridges are now 500 cc's of fluid - more than double the capacity of the GT-541 cartridges.

• White Ink Carts: 500 cc's - $300.00 each
  • Most white ink may be drop shipped to ensure that the white ink is "fresh". The white ink does have a shorter shelf life of 60-90 days and does require that it recommended by agitaged twice per week by rotating the cartridges. All shipping will be free of charge via second day delivery in the continental US.
• CMYK Ink Carts: 500 cc's - $350.00 each

It appears that most designs will run between $2.50 and $3.75 per print (approximately). The good news is we believe that Brother is being conservative with their numbers again like they were with the Brother GT-541. Originally Brother's estimates for the GT-541 were $1.00 per print. Most people average out less than that on the GT-541 and if the image is designed correctly we feel you can easily achieve the lower end of the pricing spectrum for ink and pre-treatment cost, if not lower.

Pre-Treating the Garments

Everyone has asked about this and we wanted to fill you in on the options. Yes, you can hand pre-treat the garments. However, the Brother requires a specific, even amount of fluid laydown to ensure for the best, most optimal prints you can achieve from your Brother GT-782. Doing this manually or even with a Wagner power sprayer is not the most optimal way. You can't evenly control the laydown or the correct amount of fluid needed. Brother requires 35-38 grams for a 14"x14" area. This is where the Viper XPT really comes into play.

The Viper XPT was designed for the new Brother GT-782 specifically. It lays down a precisely controlled layer of pre-treatment solution every time. With the easy to use built-in interface the Viper XPT allows you to save money on your pre-treatment solution by allowing you to apply the fluid in only the areas you are going to be printing white ink. You can easily select the length of spray as well as a Full Chest, Left Chest, Right Chest, Youth and Infant spray patterns. Plus, with the patented nozzles and our delivery system, the Viper XPT has virtually any overspray - saving you money in the long run. Please note that you HAVE TO PRE-TREAT YOUR GARMENTS and use a heat press to cure the shirt. You must cure the treated garment at 360-365 degrees F for 35 seconds with heavy (80 pounds) of pressure. This ensures the pre-treatment is cured AND the fibers of the garment are matted down giving you a super smooth printing surface for the white ink. Retail MSRP on the Viper is $6500.00.
